So in the recent past Adam Sandler wrote the famous "Chanukah song" which highlights famous Jewish peoples, I have decided to post a list of some of the more famous Catholic persons in our day. Though not all are alive at the present, they do all have some hold on the Pop culture world we live in. It is nice to think that even in the society which seems to have abandoned faith as a center, we have some stars we can look to as sharing the beliefs and faith in our Risen Lord. I have included links so you can enjoy some of their works, where available.

Martin Sheen, President Bartlett from West Wing among many movie and TV roles
Tom Wilson (played Biff, the bad guy in the Back to the Future Movies, great comedian, and artist)
Sean Patrick Flannery; Young Indiana Jones
Patricia Heaton (the wife on Everybody Loves Raymond)
Just to name a few more right off the top of my head.
Unfortunately, not all of them (JFK for example) have lived up to their faith.
Hitchcock often used his Catholic faith to subtly affect the plot, or not so subtly as in his 1953 film I Confess.
Casey Kasem is Maronite Catholic, so was Danny Thomas.
Then don't forget the other authors like G.K. Chesterton, Evelyn Waugh & Flan O'Connor.
& there was also TV star as well as author Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.
The list could go on & on.
Dave Brubeck (convert)
Walter Kerr (theatre critic)
Peter Steinfels (former NY Times religion editor)
E. J. Dionne (Washington Post writer)
Mark Russell (comedian)
Clare Booth Luce (playwright and politican -- convert)
